FCDO CONVENES PCC MEETING TO PRIORITIZE COMMUNITY NEEDS FOR FY2027

Frontiers Children Development Organization (FCDO) successfully convened a PCC meeting at St. Augustinian Monastery, bringing together stakeholders to review and prioritize community needs identified through the recent Community Needs Assessment as part of planning for FY2027.

The meeting brought together zonal committee representatives from all 17 zones in Turkana Central, Loima, Lobei/Kotaruk, and Turkana South, alongside FCDO Board Members, reflecting the organization’s commitment to participatory and community-led development.

Led by FCDO staff under the leadership of CEO Mr. Maurice Lokwaliwa, participants reviewed assessment findings and identified key priorities. Among the major concerns raised were livelihood restoration through goat restocking for drought-affected households and increased education support, including school fees, uniforms, textbooks, and other learning materials for vulnerable learners.

Stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to working with FCDO to address these challenges. The prioritized needs will guide FCDO’s FY2027 planning and resource mobilization efforts, ensuring interventions respond directly to community needs.

FCDO remains committed to improving livelihoods, promoting sustainable development, and expanding educational opportunities for vulnerable children and families across Turkana County.
