Ruth Areman is a visionary leader and community organizer with a strong commitment to social justice and equality. Her ongoing pursuit of a master’s degree in Water and Sanitation at Kenyatta University, coupled with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health from Moi University, reflects her dedication to addressing pressing environmental and public health challenges. Additionally, Ruth holds a Diploma in Environmental Health Science and a certificate in Environmental Health, underscoring her comprehensive understanding of the interconnectedness between environmental factors and community well-being.

In her professional journey, Ruth has served as a Public Health Officer and Health Promotion Officer in Turkana County, where she actively engaged in promoting health awareness and implementing strategies to improve community health outcomes. Her role as a trainer in various fields, including Advocacy and Community Mobilization, Welfare Association Groups, and Community Engagement, highlights her commitment to capacity-building and empowering communities to advocate for their rights and interests.

Through her involvement with the Turkana Professionals Association, Ruth has emerged as a vocal advocate for the needs of marginalized communities, leveraging her expertise to drive positive change and amplify the voices of those often overlooked. As a board member of FRONTIERS CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION, Ruth brings her passion for social justice and her extensive experience in community development to the table, championing initiatives that empower children and foster inclusive and sustainable development in underprivileged communities.
