Peacebuilding and Security

FCDO recognizes the critical importance of peacebuilding and security in fostering stability and enabling sustainable development in Turkana County. Through our peacebuilding initiatives, we work to address underlying tensions, promote dialogue, and build trust among diverse communities. FCDO facilitates conflict resolution workshops, peace education programs, and community reconciliation efforts to mitigate conflicts and promote peaceful coexistence. Additionally, we collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to strengthen community policing mechanisms and enhance security measures. By fostering a culture of peace and inclusivity, FCDO contributes to creating an enabling environment where children and families can thrive and fulfill their potential.
