Mr. Francis Edome is a development worker with extensive training and experience spanning more than 15 years in project management, resource mobilization, and fundraising, strategic planning, small-business development, and community development. Since 1994, Edome has worked in ASAL areas of Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, and Pakistan where he acquired hands-on Country program management skills, working for UNWFP, AAH-I, ACF-USA, and MSF-Holland.
In 2020-2022, Edome worked as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Turkana Chapter, where he managed programs funded by bilateral donors such as ILO, Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), DANIDA, and GIZ for program activities targeting medium and small-enterprises among refugees and host communities in Turkana County. With a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Logistics) from University of South Africa (UNISA) and advanced computer proficiency from the University of Nairobi, Edome is an adept enthusiast on strategic management, project planning, resource mobilization, efficient resource utilization, people management, and community development.
Previously until April 2023, Edome was FCDO Board member and chaired the Finance and Administration Sub-Committee. In June 2023, he joined FCDO as USAID Nawiri Project Coordinator, where he brings a change maker intuition and project management lens to effectively and efficiently provide the requisite project leadership and management; and focal point for donor scoping and resource mobilization initiatives.
Frontiers Children Development Organization (FCDO) is a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working for the well-being of Deprived, Excluded and Vulnerable (DEV) children In Turkana County, an Arid and Semi-Arid Area in Kenya.
