Maurice A. Lokwaliwa is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in water resources management, environmental conservation, and community development. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of FRONTIERS CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION, Maurice brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as Board Secretary.
Maurice’s educational background includes ongoing pursuit of an MSc in Water and Environmental Management from Egerton University, where he also earned his BSc in Agricultural Engineering. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Water Resources Management from GIMI in Israel. As a Graduate Member of the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and a Bullet Proof Manager, Maurice combines academic rigor with practical skills to effectively address complex challenges in his field. With a career spanning various sectors, Maurice has demonstrated his commitment to environmental sustainability and community resilience. His previous roles include serving as the County Water, Environment, Natural Resources Management, and Climate Change officer in Trans Nzoia County, where he played a pivotal role in implementing initiatives to protect water sources and mitigate environmental degradation.
Prior to his current position, Maurice served as a Senior Program Manager at World Vision Kenya, where he led initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of vulnerable communities through sustainable development projects. He also has experience working as a Food for Assets Coordinator with the Arid Resource Management Project II and as a Project Manager with the Kerio Valley Development Authority. Maurice’s expertise in water resources management, combined with his passion for community development, makes him an invaluable asset to the board of FRONTIERS CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION. As Board Secretary, he is committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective governance practices to support the organization’s mission of empowering children and fostering sustainable change in communities.
Frontiers Children Development Organization (FCDO) is a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working for the well-being of Deprived, Excluded and Vulnerable (DEV) children In Turkana County, an Arid and Semi-Arid Area in Kenya.
